Happy (unhappy?) Monday guys! I had a very, very lazy weekend but somehow it turned out rather productive! It’s also the last day of September, so there’s that to think about…. whoa.
Thanks for hosting Katie!
I already went over this with you guys yesterday, but I had a pretty good freakin day on Saturday! Between sleeping in, a Starbucks date (and a PSL!), finding a healthy grocery store right by campus, and getting told that my pants are cool, how could my day have been bad?!
…working out first thing in the morning!
Sunday morning Christian and I didn’t go to to church because the people we usually get rides with were out of town. So we did a Bible study before lunch instead. Anyway, I rolled out of bed and headed straight downstairs to the gym. I did 10 minutes on the elliptical to “warm up” and then jumped into Fitness Magazine’s Burn 500 Calories workout. I didn’t burn as many calories as I should have because a) I had to keep stopping the first round to figure out what I should be doing and, b) I only did it twice through instead of 3 because I didn’t read the fine print. I finished with 10 minutes walking on the treadmill!
… National Coffee Day!
I sincerely all of you drank coffee yesterday in honor of this holiday! I had my beloved Dunkin’ Donuts grounds Pumpkin Spice Coffee!
…sitting down and REALLY figuring out how much I should spend on food.
Like I’ve spent $200 this month in combination of food and random things like mugs, mugs, annnnnd more mugs. I went to Walmart, Albertons, Safeway, and the local grocery store to get their online ad and picked where I should buy the items on my Shopping List based off of sales and price. I seriously felt like an adult, but I need to stop spending too much on items I could buy elsewhere cheaper.
…going out and actually buying ONLY the things on my list and for great prices!
I bought half a pound of quinoa for under $1.92, 3 bananas for 60 cents, spaghetti sauce for 88 cents, my beloved Almond Breeze for $2.70, salsa for $2, black beans for 50 cents, coffee creamer for $3.18, Chex cereal for $2.98, and 2 medium sweet potatoes for $1.38. Grand total? $16.16 for 9 items. I’m quite proud of myself actually
…getting into the Halloween mood early!
I’ll admit it that Halloween isn’t my fave holiday but it’s fun to do the cuter stuff, like eat candy corn, color pictures, carve pumpkins, and hand out candy & dress up. You better bet that all I did last night was eat candy corn, color pictures (and hang them on the refrigerator) and listen to “Children’s Halloween Radio” on Pandora. Instead of take notes. #noregrets
